This week I finally got an answer as to why I wasnt getting an ip address to show up in the terminal when I ran the "ifconfig" command. Instead of being connected to a router, I had the BeagleBone connected to my laptop. I completely missed the half a second where the guy in the YouTube tutorial mentioned his device was connected to a router.

With this new information, I believed it would work if I connected the BeagleBone to any ethernet ports at my university. The command produced the same results.

My team and I also looked at the GitHub repositories for Google's blockly and its derivative ardublocky. We identified the files that seemed to have the most information on how to get blockly and the BeagleBone to talk to eachother.

I recieved a book from my professor that is soley about the Beagle Bone so I will taking a look at that during the coming week.
